At reNEW we believe that every voice deserves a chance to be heard, every story deserves to be told, and every writer’s calling is worth nurturing. We understand that financial constraints can sometimes stand in the way of attending life-changing retreat weekends at reNEW.
We are thrilled to announce the Lucinda Secrest McDowell Scholarship Fund—carrying on the legacy of our former co-director and giving you the opportunity to take the next step on your literary journey to bring you nourishment and growth.
Only partial scholarships are offered for retreat weekends and not one-day events. Scholarships are towards registration and bookings for Purdy Center and Zeitfuss 2 lodging ONLY and cannot cover bookings for Larsen Lodge lodging or any travel costs to and from CAMP-of-the-WOODS. (Please note that booking pricing includes program, lodging, and food – all costs for the weekend excluding travel.)
You will be required to pay a 15% deposit when you register for the retreat. The scholarship amount will then be deducted from your final bill which is paid one month before the retreat.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept scholarship applications for reNEW 2024 after March 31, 2024.
