We are offering one-on-one critique and coaching sessions with our expert faculty. Whether you’re a beginner writer or a seasoned author, our one-on-one appointments are designed to provide you with invaluable insights, personalized feedback that addresses your unique strengths and areas for improvement.

No matter where you are in your writing journey, a critique or coaching session will provide guidance tailored to your needs.

Critique appointments consist of editing and feedback on 5 pages of submitted work. Coaching appointments are conversations for discussing and getting help with next steps in your writing or speaking journey.

GUIDELINES: Critique and Coaching Appointments

Length: 15 minutes long

Cost: $40 per critique appointment. All critique/coaching appointments will be prepaid

Submissions: WORD Doc, total of 5 pages, double spaced, 1 inch margins, 12 pt Times New Roman

Deadline: Critique and coaching submissions will not be taken after March 1, 2024 so please book your appointments as early as possible.

PLEASE ONLY BOOK ONE APPOINTMENT. We will let you know if the opportunity to have a second appointment opens up.

Critique categories

Work submitted should be in the categories of fiction, non-fiction, blog, devotionals, memoir, article, essay, talk, book proposal, Bible study, one sheet/page.

How to book your critique

You MUST BE REGISTERED FOR THE RETREAT to book a critique or coaching appointment.

CLICK HERE to book your time slot with your faculty member of choice and to complete your payment. 

Appointments are limited and on a first come first serve basis. Register for the retreat now, then sign up to secure your appointment. Once a faculty member has received as many critiques as they offered to take, we’ll note next to their name that they are no longer accepting critiques.

What happens next

Once you have booked your appointment and made payment online, your appointment will be confirmed by email. You will then receive another email with contact information for your expert, the faculty member.

All correspondence will then take place between you and the faculty member.

Email the faculty member and include reNEW 2024 Critique or Coaching submission in the subject line.
